Kuwait Emir sends Parliament

The emir of Kuwait, Sabah al-Ahmed, the Gulf State's Parliament dissolved and new elections announced.

In a rather cryptic Royal Decree State according to the State press agency Kuna that "given the circumstances in the region and the security is better to let the people decide". Becoming the seventh elections in ten years. In the prevailing political tensions now Kuwait Oil State there should be cut back considerably. The Government wants to do this by people to deal with long-term benefits. Government and opposition were strongly divided on the cuts.

The emir gave no date for new elections, but according to the Kuwaiti law requires elections within 60 days after dissolution of a Parliament are held. The emir of Kuwait (an ally of America) has a lot of power and stands above the Government.
