EU internal borders extended controls

Austria, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden may continue their internal borders still controls three months. The European Commission proposed that Tuesday.

The five countries targeted in May were given green light for six months and limited border controls. Brussels agreed to that restriction on the free movement of persons in the Schengen zone after it was determined that the Greek border control and asylum system not properly functioned. The tens of thousands of migrants who still stay in Greece, pulling as possible to richer parts of Europe if the border controls would be lifted, now fears the Commission.

According to the Commission, the situation has stabilized, but is not yet all the conditions for the desired "return to Schengen '' met. The EU Member States are now on the proposal.
