Zaki trainers continues career in Algeria
Badou Zaki is a trainer and former national team-player with a huge record in Morocco. Badou Zaki was as a player, goalkeeper at the time, at the head of the huge success that Morocco ever recorded on a World Championship. As captain of the national team he reached the first African country the second round at the World Cup of 1986 in Mexico. The younger generation knows Z mainly because of his performance as national coach during the African Cup of 2004. With the Atlas Lions he made the final of the tournament host country TunesiÃ«uiteindelijk the longest straw.
Last year dismissed by the Moroccan Football Federation after the appointment of current national team manager HervÃ© Renard was Zaki without club or country to coach. He had seen a clear contract which clauses were settled, he kept his resignation stuck to this contract. He would reportedly, still somewhat by value, other tasks within the Football Federation FRMF. But yesterday was so well known that Zaki has found a new club, this time in Algeria. It was going to be CR Belouizdad, a club that operates at the highest level in Algeria.
It is expected that the former trainer of, among others, OCS Safi, Kawkab Marrakech and Wydad Casablanca one of these days will put a signature under a contract which ties him to the club. It is not known if Zaki are ongoing contract with the Moroccan Association has bought off or that this has happened the other way around.
