Library ' three cultures Foundation ' renamed Fatima Mernissi Library

The library of the ' three cultures Foundation ' (Three Cultures Foundation) in Seville was renamed " Fatima Mernissi Library " during a ceremony recently held in memory of the famous Moroccan writer and sociologist.

During this ceremony, held in the presence of the Adviser to King Mohammed VI and president-delegate of the Foundation André Azoulay and Vice-President of the Andalusian region Manuel Jimenez Barrios, speakers underlined the leading role played by Fatima Mernissi, who is distinguished by her work on different themes such as women and Islam.On this occasion was a painting, created by the Moroccan calligrapher S Saritha, hung in the library, reports Moroccoworldnews.During the month of november, which coincides with the first anniversary of the death of the Moroccan intellectual, brought the Foundation tribute to her memory with lectures from her memoirs.
