52 new hotels built in Morocco, half in 2017

There are 52 hotel construction projects planned in Morocco, of which 22 are to be completed in 2017, reports a new study of North Africa Index.

According to the news site, H24Info stated Samantha Kane-Macdonald, the Director of the event that takes place in Casablanca between december 5 and 7, that the hotel construction projects show that "Morocco prepares to compete with the main tourist destinations of the world ".As many as 3171 five-star rooms and suites will be added to Morocco's bed capacity of the 22 hotels that will be built before the end of next year. This is the first stage in the plan of Morocco that seeks 20 million tourists in 2020.The significant investments in these projects represents "a huge space in the local construction and in the architecture and the Interior," said Kane-Macdonald.Morocco is currently in third place in the rank list for the Middle East and North Africa in terms of hotel construction projects. The United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia respectively hold the first two places occupied.
