French Customs seized 15 tonnes of takes car-waste on the road to Morocco

The French customs in Lyon has 15 ton car-waste seized that was about to be exported to Morocco.

Seized by the Customs cargo consisted of auto parts that were intended to be illegally transported to Morocco by a car dealer. The seized items included engines, dashboards, and mirrors.

It is forbidden to import at the Moroccan law to prevent unauthorised waste in Morocco, and as a result a fine of 50,000 to 2 million dirham and three months to two years imprisonment for any person who is convicted for this crime.

In France the export of this waste is punishable by a fine of 75,000 euros and up to two years in prison, reports Moroccoworldnews.
