Competition debut beckons for Africa Cup luminary Mendyl, tonight against Paris Saint-Germain
Hamza Mendyl was literally thrown to the Lions the last African Cup. With less than a minute in first team by LOSC Lille coach Herve Renard saw behind his name still a useful links back in the youngster. So useful that the 19-year-old fullback all minutes played in the four games that visited Morocco at the tournament. With what beauty errors, purely out of inexperience, Mendyl left a fine impression.
So good that after his return from Gabon stuck with it trained with the first team. Tonight he makes, after previously already part of the competition selection of the first, part of the selection for the League encounter with Paris Saint-Germain.
Mendyl is trained in the Mohammed VI Football Academy and was in January of last calendar year taken over by the Ligue 1 club. The half Ivoriaan makes a boom and would would tonight but can make his debut in professional football in the Parc de Princes.
