The first festival dedicated to Ibn Battuta in Tanger

The Moroccan Association of Ibn Battuta (Amarib) from 23 to 25 February 2017 organizes the first International Festival "Ibn Battuta" in different parts of the city of Tangier.

The aim of this festival is to the legacy of the great traveler to emphasize and to travel and to promote meetings between peoples, Amarib said in a statement.

Conferences, literary tributes, artistic exhibitions and socio-cultural activities around the mythical character "Ibn Battuta" and his travels are planned.

In the sequel to the first international day of Ibn Battouta, which took place February 24, 2016 in Tangier, would like the development of the Amarib prestigious project "Tanger Metropole" by doubling the annual commemoration of the birth of Ibn Battouta on February 24, through a festival dedicated to him, says the same source.
