ONCF: fewer deaths at railroad crossings

The railways service of Morocco (ONCF) has indicated that there is a drastic reduction in the number of deaths at railroad crossings.

The ONCF has issued a report an overview of the exact fall.

The report shows that in the period from 2012 – 2016 a reduction is almost 90% of road crash victims at transitions. The number of deaths has fallen by 47%. This is according to ONCF primarily due to an investment program of 1.5 billion dirham.

Despite the success achieved the report to know that there is still a lot of the ONCF will be invested during 2016-2020 to the decrease of victims at level crossings further.
