Raja and Wydad Casablanca with 14 million dirham responds by municipality
For almost a year long play both Raja and Wydad Casablanca their home games elsewhere than in the home to Stade Mohammed V. By renovation and a previous punishment of the local authorities and the Moroccan Football Federation can be sure until the end of this season still no matches play in the historic Stadium. Both clubs play their home games at present every time somewhere else, especially the Grand Stade de Marrakech is often done to them.
Now both clubs without a home to be saves this of course huge in annual ticket sales. This realization now seems also to have penetrated to the local authorities now the clubs in financial difficulty. According to the Moroccan medium Al Massae is there recently 7 million dirham per club paid as compensation for the missed revenue from ticket sales. It is not the first time that the city of Casablanca toereikt a helping hand.
The earlier conclusion, even before they started to renovate, had mainly to do with the violent incidents where the fan was responsible for. The so-called ultra's formed a true headache file for the local authorities, both in and outside the stadium. To what is now known is seems the Stadium during a friendly match between Orange and the Moroccan national football team (31 May) to be played for the first time. Since the Moroccan Botola Pro League but 30 rounds and 20 May last, it seems that only from next season can make use of the renovated Stade Mohammed V
