Morocco launches social media campaign to promote sustainable travel

The Ministry of tourism has teamed up with the Moroccan world travelers (and couple) Amal and Abate Yakine a social media campaign launched to the best initiatives in the field of sustainable tourism in Morocco.

The campaign with the hashtag "#sustainable travel" aims to raise awareness of the public about the concept of sustainable tourism to increase in Morocco, reports Moroccoworldnews.

The Moroccan world travelers have visited many cities including Chefchaouen, Dakhla, N'Kob Aoufous, Ouarzazate and Marrakech and had a meeting with the tourism stakeholders who have been nominated for the 7th Edition of the Moroccan awards for sustainable tourism, with the intention of the positive effect of this projects on the local population.

The Moroccan world travelers also had a meeting with representatives of civil society mainly come from the ' Talassemtane society for environmental and biodiversity ' (ATED) in Chefchaouen, Morocco in Aoufous, and the Sodev the Kasbah Baha Baha in N'kob.
