Morocco and Portugal strengthen their tyres with respect to energy

Morocco and Portugal in Lisbon Friday signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting the strategic partnership of the two countries in the field of energy.

The agreement was signed within the framework of the 3rd Edition of the ' Green Business ' Week (GBW), where Morocco was present as guest of honor, reports Moroccoworldnews.

The agreement was signed by Abderrahim El H, Secretary General of the Moroccan Ministry of energy, mines, Water and environment, and Jorge Seguro S, the Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs. Also present for the signing was the Moroccan Ambassador in Portugal, Karima Bachaalany.

The agreement is intended to create conditions for a broad cooperation in the field of energy between the two parties to work on an action plan for energy partnership.

The agreement also provides the possible for the set up of joint working groups by a Committee that is responsible for coming up with the road map for its implementation.

Speaking on the occasion, praised El H the existing strong collaboration between Morocco and Portugal, which has experienced a remarkable dynamism in recent years.

Sanchez stressed that Portugal is determined to explore all the possibilities offered by means of cooperation with Morocco.
