Up to 3 years in prison demanded against crocodiles

Against the seven men and three women known as the ' crocodiles ' are Thursday by the public prosecutor's Office demanded prison sentences to three years.

The ten face the Amsterdam District Court for involvement in a criminal organisation and drug trafficking. In a RAID on a warehouse in Amsterdam Police found, among other things, cases with money that were guarded by crocodiles in a basin.

The ten are held in February last year. In searches in the homes of some suspects police found money, ranging from a few thousand to over 200,000 euro, weapons, ammunition and a hemp plantation.

Prime suspect is a 56-year-old Amsterdammer. It sees him as leader of the criminal organization. Against him is the highest punishment demanded: three years in prison, one years probation.

The Court is expected to be on 11 april ruling.
