Saad Eddine El Othmani announces end of deadlock to in formation of Government

Morocco's newly appointed head of Government, Saad Eddine El Othmani, announced last night the end of the five months long deadlock and the formation of the new coalition Government.

At a press conference yesterday evening at the headquarters of the party of Justice and development (PJD) El Othmani said that the Coalition will include six parties.

In addition to the PJD, the Coalition will include ministers from the national grouping of Independents (RNI), the popular movement (MP), the constitutional Union (UC), the party for progress and socialism (PPS) and the Socialist Union of People's Forces (USFP).

Surrounded by the six party leaders and his party colleague Mustapha El Othmani Ayodele, spoke against the media: "since King Mohammed VI appointed me as head of the Government to the coalition Government-I hurried me to start the negotiations".

"I want to give a tribute to Adnan Baby for the efforts he has made during his [vain] mission [to the Government,]" said Othmani. "I would also like to thank him for his support".

The six parties in the governing coalition representing 240 395 seats in Parliament.
