Police in Tangiers shisha cafés tackles hard at

The police in the city of Tangier has multiple raids at shisha cafés, with dozens of customers and the managers of the shisha cafés have been arrested.

The raids at shisha cafés, which reportedly started at the end of March, would be implemented to combat the spread of banned tobacco productions. To date, the police reportedly seized more than 60 water pipes, reports Moroccoworldnews.

This is not the first time that the Moroccan police raids to shisha cafes. In February, the authorities in Casablanca raids on shisha cafes, where dozens of people were arrested and water pipes and tobacco were confiscated.

In 2014, the Minister of the Interior a campaign against smoking of shisha in public places. The Ministry noted that 12,000 shisha's as well as six tons of tobacco were seized in 2012.

It is also reported that in 2013 the number of seized water pipes fell to 5000 and only two tonnes of tobacco was confiscated.
