Seizure of 478 tonnes of products unfit for consumption

A total of 478 tons of unfit food was confiscated and destroyed in Morocco in March 2017 by the Moroccan food and consumer product safety authority (ONSSA).

The seized products consisted of red and white meat (320 tons), fishery products (152 tons), milk and derivatives (2 tons) and different foods (4 tons), ONSSA reported in a statement. 257 cases are referred to the public prosecutor for trial.

Concerning imported food was there 9424 tons by ONSSA rejected for non-compliance with the existing regulations.
