France: Exitpolls Macron and Le Pen into second round

The social-liberal Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen of the nationalist Front National are in the decisive second round of the French presidential election, facing each other.

The two candidates received the most votes during the first round of the elections on Sunday. This is evident from exitpolls where French media about publishing.

According to the poll of 23.7 percent of the votes has Elabe Macron and Le Pen 22 percent. The two other candidates who stood high in the polls in advance were the extreme left-wing Jean-Luc Mélenchon and the conservative Francois Fillon. They were given according to each Elabe 19.5 percent of the vote.
