German ' fake '-Syrian suspected of attack plan

A German army officer has been arrested on suspicion of preparing an attack. The man would have occurred as Syrian refugee, according to German media.

The authorities arrested the 28-year-old suspect Wednesday in Bavaria. Also an alleged henchman (24) is held. The first lieutenant had itself according to the German public prosecutor's Office under a false name to register as refugees. He was reportedly driven by xenophobia.

The soldier came earlier this year when the authorities because he had hidden a firearm on the toilet of an airfield in Vienna. He was caught when he came to retrieve the gun. Although the military was stationed in France, he had the authorities establish reasonable freedom of movement.

It is striking that the man could successfully pose as Syrian, although he apparently spoke no Arabic. The public prosecutor's Office could not say why that is not noticed.
