Tangier: publicans furious after increase local taxes by City Council

Publicans in Tanger react furiously after the City Council has decided to increase the local taxes.

The publicans are threatening to stop pay their taxes and to close the cafes, the newspaper Al Akhbar reported yesterday.

In a letter, to which they have added that a petition contesting this decision have expressed their displeasure to the publicans, the Mayor of the city, Fouad Ea. There is also a copy of this letter is sent to the wali of Tangier and the President of the Chamber of Commerce.

The publicans have said in their statement that the ball now lies with the City Council, headed by the mayor who associated with the PJD. These serve the straws and to find a solution to this problem.
