Over 23 dead in attack on Christians in Egypt

Two buses with Egyptian Christians are Friday under fire at the Egyptian city of al-Minya.

Thereby are definitely 23 dead and 25 injured, reported the authorities. The Coptic Christians were on the way to the Saint Samuel monastery in the village.

In and around al-Minya, about 220 kilometers south of Cairo, there is a relatively large Christian minority.

It is not clear who the perpetrators are. At the end of april fell by two attacks on churches in the North of the country killing more than 45.
