Morocco and India strengthen bilateral partnership

On 25 and 26 May took place the 5th India-Commission meeting (JCM) place Morocco in Rabat with the aim to strengthen the strong relationship between India and Morocco.

The highlight of this 5th Commission meeting was the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of broadcasting. The agreement was signed by Fayçal Laraichi, Director of the public broadcaster of Morocco (SNRT), and Dr. Kheya Bhattacharya, India's Ambassador in Morocco, reports Moroccoworldnews.

During the trip to Morocco was Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of trade and industry of India, also the main speaker at the "industrial day of Morocco", held in Casablanca. This was an event organized by the Moroccan Ministry of industry, investment, trade and digital economy.

Her journey emphasized the existing partnerships between India and Morocco, including the ' Centre for Excellence in Information Technology ' in Casablanca. This is a joint effort between the ' Centre for Development of Advanced Computing in India and the National Institute for Post and telecommunications (INPT) in Morocco.

According to a press release from the Ministry of trade and industry of the Indian Government, the 5th Committee meeting the good bilateral relations between India and Morocco reinforced and an impetus for closer cooperation between the two countries in the political, commercial and trade sectors.

In the bilateral trade between India and Morocco 2015-2016 amounted to 1.42 billion u.s. dollars.
