Arrest in Spain of terrorist wanted by Morocco

The Spanish national police have arrested a Moroccan man yesterday in Madrid that is part of a terrorist organization, reported the Spanish Interior Ministry in a statement.

In March there was an international arrest warrant issued by the Moroccan authorities for this 47-year-old Moroccan citizen, reports the Moroccan news agency MAP.

This arrest again stressed the "excellent relations of collaboration" between the Spanish and Moroccan security forces, underlined the Spanish Ministry of Home Affairs.

"The arrested individual belonged to a terrorist organization that aimed to prepare terrorist acts to disrupt public order and the collection of funds in order to finance these criminal activities", the statement said.

The arrested man, who in Parla lives in the suburbs of Madrid, in 2004 was already subject of a police investigation and criminal proceedings in Spain after the March 11 attacks in the capital of Spain, said the Ministry of the Interior to lock.
