Launch of construction Peugeot factory on 15 June in Kenitra

The Moroccan Minister of industry and President of the Board of Directors of the PSA group will preside over the ceremony on Thursday 15 June in Kenitra to construct the Peugeot plant in Morocco.

The construction of this factory of 100 hectares, of which 40 hectares is reserved for suppliers, will take place in the Atlantic Free Zone in Kenitra, 45 km north of Rabat.

Recently said Rémi Cabon, head of the project, which the PSA group has worked hard to get to the timetable: the start of construction of the plant in 2017 and then the launch of the factory in 2019. In the factory will be put together engines and vehicles, reports Lefr360.

The plant is expected to produce about 90,000 vehicles a year in the short term and create 1,500 jobs. Eventually, the production, much of which is intended for export, is expected to exceed 200,000 vehicles per year.
