A Chinese delegation on a discovery tour in Morocco

The national Office for tourism (ONMT) is currently hosting a delegation of Chinese decision-makers and ' influencers ' to them the tourism potential of the Kingdom to discover and of them promoters of the Morocco destination in their country.

The ONMT receives to 16 June a Chinese delegation that about fifty Chinese important persons of travel services, television, radio, digital media and the printed media brings together three important cities of China: Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

The cities that are frequented times their stay is Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Chefchaouen and FES, reports Lefr360.

"We were impressed by the places we have visited and the hospitality, I think the Moroccan tourism product meets the expectations of the Chinese tourists," said Mr. Wang, a reporter for the first Chinese television channel CCTV.

The ONMT is partnerships with 3 airlines (Air France, Etihad Airways and Turkish Airlines), in anticipation of direct flights between the two countries to offer scheduled services to and from China to increase the supply.

China has a great tourism potential. There are already several actions performed by the ONMT to the promotion of Morocco on the Chinese market to develop and to improve the attraction.

This strategy has already its first results shown, with an increase of no less than 300% of Chinese tourists in Morocco in the first quarter of this year. This increase also came after the Royal decision to the entry visa for Chinese nationals.
