Former political leader arrested for suspected sexual abuse of minors in Tindouf camps

Alejandro Diaz, the former Secretary-General of the Spanish Socialist Youth movement in Elche, was recently arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse of minors, including Saharawi's in the Tindouf camps.

Alejandro Diaz, former Secretary General of the Spanish Socialist Youth movement in the East of Spain, was placed in custody. He is suspected of sexual abuse of minors. Some of them live in the Tindouf camps.

According to police sources quoted by the Spanish agency EFE, researchers examined internet calls in which Diaz bragged about raping a minor from the Tindouf camps, which are brought to Spain for vacation.

After his arrest was Alejandro Diaz fired from the Presidency of the Youth Council of Elche and excluded from the Socialist Youth and the Valencia Department of the Spanish Socialist Workers ' Party (PSPV-PSOE).

According to the same sources, the researchers try to determine whether the arrested other children from the Tindouf camps on Algerian territory has sexually abused.
