Boat with 126 refugees is search

There is a boat with lost 126 refugees in the Mediterranean Sea.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is concerned that the boat is capsized and its occupants drowned.

The IOM has the testimony of four persons on board, including in each case two Sudanese, who were able to reach the Sicilian capital Palermo. They stated that traffickers had taken away the engine of the boat, making the vessel sank.

The four survivors are rescued by Libyan sea fishermen, who put them aboard another refugee boat. That boat was eventually intercepted by the Italians and the crew saved. The unfortunate boat was coming from Libya and on the way to Italy. The route from Libya across the Mediterranean Sea to Italy is regarded as the most dangerous from Africa to Europe. The IOM this year 1800 counted dead and missing on that route.
