Marrakech: Tourist bitten by Monkey on the Djemaa El Fna square

A South Korean tourist was attacked by a monkey last Monday during a visit to the famous Jemaa El Fna square in Marrakech.

This is not the first time that such an incident occurred. Accidents with animals and tourists on the Djemaa El Fna square are becoming more and more common.

The newspaper Al Massae reported yesterday that the victim had suffered injury to her hand and was transferred to a private clinic, where they got the necessary care and vaccinations to protect her from the diseases that can be transferred by the monkeys.
