Four Arab countries want to shut down al-Jazeera

Also the fabulously wealthy oil State to its diplomatic relations with Iran, and a Turkish air base in the country. That demands four Arab countries Friday by Qatar, with which they in the largest conflict in the Gulf region since years are engaged.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Egypt and Bahrain also want Qatar links with terrorist organizations, including the Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic State, al-Qaeda, Hezbollah and Fateh Jabhat al-Sham, the former affiliate of al-Qaeda in Syria.

The list with a total of 13 requirements was transferred by Kuwait, that mediates in the conflict. Qatar has ten days to the demands.

The requirement is no more than an attempt freedom of expression in the Gulf region to suppress, so informed al-Jazeera Friday in the Qatari capital Doha. Giles Trendle, head of the English Department of the transmitter, called on all Governments to respect freedom of expression.
