Prices of medicines for chronic diseases with 46% in Morocco

The prices of various medications for chronic diseases that affect many Moroccans, have been reduced by 46 percent, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of health.

There has been cut in the prices of medicine to diseases such as cancer, diabetes, blood pressure, to reduce infectious diseases and inflammatory diseases, reports Moroccoworldnews. This to reduce costs and thus to facilitate the life in Morocco. The Ministry added that more than 50 medicines the prices will be reduced.

Since the issuance of the Regulation No 136/66/EEC. 2.13.852 about the pricing of pharmaceutical drugs in 2013, the Ministry can lower the prices of more than 3600 medications.

The Ministry gives: "the success of this reform was created as a result of the contribution of medical professionals from pharmaceutical laboratories and drug distributors".

The Ministry also added that the National Drug policy to stimulate the local pharmaceutical industry to fair access to medications and treatments for all Moroccans.
