Three light earthquakes in North of Morocco in 72 hours

An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale was registered this morning in the Saidia-region, announced the National Institute of Geophysics (ING).

The earthquake, with the epicenter at 89 km northeast of Saidia (offshore), was early in the morning to 03:18 pm (UTC + 1), reports observed ING in a seismic warning bulletin.

It was the third light earthquake in the region in 72 hours, Monday was made there in Al Hoceima a light earthquake rather than 4 on the Richter scale and Saturday found in Nador a light earthquake of 4.6 on the Richter scale.

The Richter scale varies between ' Micro ' (1.0) and large (above 9.0). Quakes with magnitude between 4.0 and 4.9 are considered ' light ', in which a clear shake thing of objects indoors.
