Abdeslam also for Belgian Court

Terror suspect Salah Abdeslam must justify before the Belgian courts for the shooting in Brussels in which three policemen were injured last March.

The 27-year-old Frenchman and co-defendant Saifi a. stand trial for attempted murder in a terrorist context and banned gun ownership. Abdeslam sits in a French cell for his role in the attacks in Paris from november 2015.

A Belgian-French police team was a week before the attacks in Brussels of 22 March 2016 shot at with a Kalashnikov when it wanted to do a search in the Brussels municipality of forest. A police sniper then shot the Algerian terrorist Mohamed Belkaïd death but Abdeslam and a. knew. Both were arrested three days later in the nearby commune of Molenbeek.

The shooting in January, was reconstructed. Now, it is common ground that there is a lawsuit in Belgium. A first procedural session will take place next month as possible.
