Laayoune: the beach of Foum El Oued gets ' Blue Flag ' label for tenth time in a row

The Foum El Oued-Beach in the province of Laayoune has for the 10th consecutive year been awarded the Blue Flag " " label, an international certification that is awarded to the seaside resorts for the compliance with the water quality standards and the safety of swimming.

This award is a recognition of the efforts made at the national and international levels by all partners of the Mohammed VI Foundation are made to protect the environment, both environmentally and in terms of improving the quality of bathing water, the development and management of the beach, but also in creating activities that contribute to increasing the awareness of the importance of the environment and the strengthening of security measures, reports H24.

The Foum El Oued-beach is this year improved thanks to the dynamics of the region (development projects and infrastructure) and the efforts of the various stakeholders, elected officials, local authorities and partners. In addition, the corniche further developed and equipped with good lighting.

The Foum El Oued-Beach, that the privileged summer place for locals and some tourists, has since the beginning of the summer season a number of security measures by means of various activities. Such as, for example, the cleaning of the beach and awareness-raising campaigns on environmental protection to meet the conditions of the "Blue Flag" label.
