Unique in Morocco: pedestrian fined for throwing waste on public road

A Moroccan pedestrian Ouarzazate in the region got a fine of 25 dirham disposal of waste on the open road.

This must hurry though for the first time, article 94 of the Wegenwet was recently applied by the Royal Gendarmerie in the region of Ouarzazate.

Article 94 of the Wegenwet in the last paragraph that stipulates: "every pedestrian should, when using a public road, refrain from any act that may be detrimental for the environment of the highway".

The offender was fined with 25 dirham, after he (or she) was caught red-handed at "the dumping of household waste in a public place".
