Morocco's largest exporter of agricultural products to Spain in the first half by 2017

Morocco was the main supplier of fruits and vegetables for Spain in the first half by 2017, with a total value of 404 million euros.

From the data of the "Spanish Federation of associations of exporters of fruits, vegetables, flowers and plants ' (FEPEX) show that the assigned value of the agricultural output of Morocco in the first half of the current year with 33%. This is followed by Brazil with a total value of 55 million euro (22%) and Costa Rica, whose exports to Spain amounted to 78 million euros (18 percent).

FEPEX added that the Spanish import from the EU increased by 8%. France was at the top of the list of exporters with 187 million euro (13 percent). Italy was the second largest exporter of agricultural products to Spain with a value of 81 million euros (12 percent). Netherlands and Portugal followed this with 67 million and 62 million euros respectively.

Potatoes and tomatoes were the main agricultural products were exported to Spain, added the FEPEX.
