Drâa-Tafilalet: two new hospitals in Erfoud and Rissani

Care in the Drâa-Tafilalet region will be strengthened by the construction of two new local hospitals in the towns of Erfoud and Rissani.

The Minister of health Hamlyn Easo has Friday the start of construction of a new hospital in Rissani kicked off. Built on an area of 4 hectares and with a capacity of 45 beds, this project will be carried out in three years at a cost of about 98 million dirham.

Subsequently, the Minister, in the presence of the Wali of the Drâa-Tafilalet region and the Governor of the province of Errachidia, Mohamed Benribag, the keys of five fully equipped ambulances and eight mobile medical units for health centres in rural areas in the region.

Easton also handed over 180 tons of medicines and medical devices to the Directorate regional health care for health care in the region. The medicines include for the treatment of heart disease, diabetes, asthma, kidney disease and mental and psychiatric diseases.

In the city of Erfoud, the Minister is informed on the progress of the building of a local hospital. With a capacity of 86 beds is the new hospital at about 4 ha built for an estimated 120 million dirham. The construction work has an implementation level of about 40%.

According to the Minister, this is a working visit to the province of Errachidia part of the policy that is pursued by his Department to care provider in the region to strengthen and territorial differences Drâa-Tafilalet.
