Marrakech hosts first ' Women in Africa ' symposium

The city of Marrakech will be the first edition of the ' Women in Africa ' (WIA) host symposium, which takes place from 25 to 27 september.

In the framework of the theme "Invest for better governance with African women" the event will gather 300 businessmen from countries in Africa and the rest of the world, with the aim of the importance of female leadership in African societies to emphasize.

The symposium offers attendees, men and women, also the possibility to discuss concrete actions to African women more opportunities to help them to develop their countries, according to the organizers.

"By creating this platform [...] everyone is looking forward to international and pan-African businesses to raise awareness (more sensitive) of the importance of women empowerment to promote growth in Africa, "said Aude de Thuin, founder of the women's forum and specialized in women's issues related to economy and society.

The event will present conferences and master classes with presence of international experts. During these meetings will be discussed various topics, such as agriculture, energy, entrepreneurship, finance, water and power supply.
