Palestinian Hamas Cabinet takes power on
The Palestinian Cabinet is to meet in Gaza led by Minister-president Rami Hamdallah the power of Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Hamas bears the formal management of the site over to the Government of Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas.
Hamas announced two weeks ago to transfer all. The movement also agreed with general elections. Those were steps taken by the Fatah movement of Abbas and the United Nations with the agreement were greeted. Elections were last held in 2006 in Palestine.
Fatah is the largest, followed by Palestinian organization Hamas. The latter pulled the power in the Gaza Strip by force in 2007. Hamas is referred to by the United States, the European Union and Israel as a terrorist organization.
The separation between the two Palestinian movements was becoming a real independent Palestinian State in the road. That State extends across the Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
