BCIJ: 10 arrests and more than 2.5 tons of cocaine seized

The security and intelligence service hit BCIJ yesterday a Grand Slam.

The Moroccan security and intelligence service BCIJ 2.588 yesterday seized tons of cocaine and arrested 10 people suspected of involvement in a network of drug traffickers, the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).

A portion of the loot was hidden in a car with a foreign license plate and another part was found on a farm on the coastal road between Temara, Skhirat and DGSN reports. They added that the largest quantity was found on a farm near Oued Cherrat, Bouznika in the province and another quantity in Nador.

This operation is carried out in close cooperation with DGSN and based on specific intelligence information DGST.

At the same time near Nador 105 kg cannabis and also an amount of 391,520 euro and 172,620 dirham seized, in addition to six vehicles that would be used in the drug trade.

Police investigations will try to determine the possible connections of the suspects with other drug trafficking networks at the international level.

All detainees were taken into custody, while the research in cooperation with all security services continue, the Moroccan news agency MAP.
