Thousands evacuated from burning building supply

The flames spread over 55,000 square meters.

Emergency services have Sunday in the Russian capital Moscow sure 3000 people evacuated from a burning shopping center where building materials are sold.

The fire had broken out in a warehouse in the basement of the market on the outskirts of the city, reports the Russian news agency TASS. The Fire Department used fire-fighting helicopters to extinguish the fire.

The flames spread over 55,000 square meters. According to a rescuer is the roof collapsed in some places. About a hundred firefighters have been deployed to the fire to spread. Nothing is known about deaths or injuries.

The building Center Sidika is located on the ring road of Moscow. It has about 1200 shops and has a total surface area of 130,000 square meters.
