Lalla Salma Foundation Launches pilot project in four African countries

The Lalla Salma Foundation is committed to the prevention and treatment of cancer.

The pilot is launched in november in the Senegalese capital Dakar. It will cover four sub-Saharan countries, namely Burkina Faso, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Chad.

"The Lalla Salma Foundation for cancer prevention and treatment will accompany Burkina Faso as part of a pilot project that allows us to set up a system for the detection and treatment of cervical cancer and breast cancer", said the Secretary-General of the Ministry of health of Burkina Faso, Robert Kargougou. He said this in an interview with the Moroccan news agency MAP after a meeting in Ouagadougou with a team of Moroccan specialists.

The pilot was developed in collaboration with the International Agency for research on cancer, an agency of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
