Badou Zaki named as possible successor Algeria coach after discharge (video)

The Algerian Football Federation pulled her conclusions from the debacle in the World Cup qualifying series and dismissed today the national coach of their national side, Lucas Alcaraz.

Where the Algerians in 2014 almost the show managed to steal in the eighth final against Germany (ed. 1-2 loss), they must have the upcoming Edition that will be held in Russia to itself. The team is currently, after the 2-0 loss against Cameroon last Sunday, on a disappointing last place in the qualifying Group.

All reason for the Algerian Football Federation to intervene and today the employment of their Spanish trainer Lucas Alcaraz. Currently, the Association looking for a new coach to fill this vacancy. One of the names mentioned in the Algerian media is that of Badou Zaki.

The former national coach and international of Morocco is only just back from Algeria. Last year he trained there CR Belouizdad, the team where he won the Algerian Cup with it. Currently IRT Tanger Botola Pro-formation falls under his responsibility. Time will tell if this interest eventually translates to continued talks with the chastened Moroccan trainer.
