New air links open between Morocco and Hungary

Morocco hopes to welcome 100,000 Hungarian tourists in 2020.

Abderrafie Zouiten, Director-General of the national Office for tourism (ONMT), announced yesterday at a press conference the upcoming opening of two direct air connections between Morocco and Hungary.

Two airlines will connect from Morocco and Hungary 30 October. Two weekly flights serve Budapest from Marrakech and two from Agadir, Abderrafie Zouiten said after a working meeting with Miklos Tromler, the Hungarian Ambassador in Morocco.

These four weekly flights are operated by the low-cost airlines Ryanair and Wizzair. Other Moroccan cities known for their coast, tourism and sports, such as Dakhla, will soon be added to the already offered to Hungarian travelers destinations. A new market for the destination Morocco, emphasized the two parties at the press conference.

The goal is to have about 30,000 Hungarian in 2018 to welcome tourists and to increase this level to nearly 100,000 tourists per year by 2020, gives Lefr360.
