Marrakech: two police officers arrested for theft and corruption

A legal review is set against two police officers in a mobile police team. They are suspected of involvement in a theft and extortion case.

The two agents were arrested after a complaint concerning theft submitted by a foreign citizen and another extortion complaint filed by three young girls, reported the Directorate General of national security (DGSN) in a statement.

According to the first information the two suspects this criminal acts allegedly beyond the regular working hours committed by their status as police officers to operate illegally, according to the same source.

The two suspects are keeping posted for further investigation under the supervision of the Prosecutor to the ins and outs of this case to determine, concludes the statement.
