Palestinian man arrested after translation error Facebook
The man wrote according to Israeli media "good morning" on Facebook. The Police believed wrongly that he had posted a threat.
The man shared on the social networking site a photo in which he posed smiling next to a bulldozer. He wished his followers a good morning.
The police went into action after the comment was automatically translated by Facebook. That made from "good morning" in Arabic "torture them" in English and "trap them to" in Hebrew. According to the newspaper Haaretz, the message is not submitted to an agent who speaks Arabic.
The police saw the error quickly in and let the man go after a few hours, a spokeswoman confirmed. The Palestinian wanted to not respond and has now been removed his message, reported The Times of Israel.
