Marrakech has now also electric tour buses
The municipality of Marrakech announced on his Facebook page the launch of electric tour buses for tourists in the city, these are the first electric buses in all of Africa. The electric tour buses are since Saturday, October 28th in the rotation.
There are four buses, two will be dedicated to tourist tours and the other two for historical monuments to visit. In the buses will be given information in 8 languages.
"The only change of the tour packages that were created by the old tour buses for tourists, is that these electric buses not at the Jamaa El Fna square will stop to avoid problems with koutchi's (horse-drawn carriages)".
Alberto Perez, General Manager of transport company Alsa medias24 Morocco, indicates that "this is the third time that the company extended its contract in Marrakech, but this year for electric tour buses".
"It is a contract of 5 years and an investment of 18 million dirham", he said. As regards prices, "for a ticket that is valid for 24 hours, 150 tourists will pay for 48 hours and 190 dirham dirham, Moroccans will benefit from 40% discount", he continues.
"This new electric tour buses are starting from Saturday, October 28th operational", he closes off.
