Algeria builds wall on border with Morocco

Algeria has started the construction of a wall on the Algerian-Moroccan border.

The official purpose of the wall is to combat drug trafficking and to strengthen the internal security of the country, reported the local news outlet Algerie Focus. The wall will contain a technological surveillance system with a network of cameras and radars designed in Algeria in cooperation with a German company.

According to the news outlet is a Committee composed of senior officers and senior officials of the Algerian Government to the construction of the ' hightech'-wall to manage. According to Algerie Focus ran this Algerian project delay on earlier, but has recently been re-launched after tensions between the two countries escalated.

This movement of Algeria is probably in response to the plan of Morocco for its first on 8 november, which will improve the security capabilities of Morocco.

According to Algerie Focus ran this Algerian project delay on earlier, but has recently been re-launched after tensions between the two countries escalated.  So did the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Messahel earlier this month in which he accused the Moroccan banks money laundering drugs money in Africa and the national airline Royal Air Maroc accused of transporting drugs.

The Moroccan Ambassador to Algeria was recalled and the Algerian Ambassador in Morocco was summoned to appear before the House.
