Tangier: Man dies of heart attack after goal El Karti in CAF Champions League final

What should have been a joyous evening is by fate turned into a sad and difficult time for the family.

A 56-year-old man from Tangier is Saturday night died due to a heart attack when he was overcome with emotions at the time that Wydad Casablanca the goal against Al Ahly scored in the final of the African Champions League.

According to testimonies, collected by the news medium Le360, the sad event took place when Walid El Karti scored the goal that would give the Championship to the Moroccan club. The man in question fell to the ground by the heart attack as a result of his violent emotions. The customers of the café and the friends of the deceased tried to give him first aid, but this proved unfortunately to no avail.

The police in Tangier has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of this tragic event.
