Morocco and China sign a memorandum of understanding to work together more
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation Nasser Bourita and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi today signed a memorandum of understanding on the new Silk Road, reported.
Wang said that China is willing to cooperate more with Morocco in the field of trade, investment, military and security, culture, education and tourism.
Regarding China as a reliable partner, said that Morocco Bourita China's efforts for sovereignty, territorial integrity and legitimate maritime interests. Bourita also hoped that China and Morocco will coordinate more about politically, anti-terrorism and major international and regional issues.
Bourita said that Morocco is willing to cooperate more with China on trade, investment and railway construction and notes that Morocco welcomes Chinese companies to expand markets in Africa by using the geographical advantages of his country.
As a reminder, Bourita came yesterday in Beijing as part of a two-day working visit.
Relations between Morocco and China have improved significantly since the visit of King Mohammed VI to China in may 2016, in which the two heads of State have led several public-private partnership agreements for a strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People's Republic of China.
