Kenitra: arrest of former Colonel of the Royal Gendarmerie because of corruption

The arrest is part of an operation against corruption.

A former Colonel of the Royal Gendarmerie was founded on november 23, by the judicial police of Kenitra. This arrest is part of a major operation to combat corruption within the safety device of the Kingdom.

The Colonel knew several months hiding from justice, taking advantage of its relationships. According to Al Massae in his edition of today, the former Colonel was held as part of the fight against corruption, he turned out to be on "dubious manner" in possession of a villa on the beach of West Jordan.

He could be arrested thanks to informants in the city, which reported his presence in a cafe on the Boulevard Mohammed V in Kenitra. He allegedly tried to pose as an engineer to the elements of the police during his arrest.

The retired colonel was brought to the police station, after which he was transferred to the regional center of the Royal Gendarmerie to research.
