Barcelona: two Moroccans arrested for Daesh propaganda
Agents of the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) have on Monday in Sant Pere de Ribes (Barcelona province) two men arrested with the Moroccan nationality. The men are suspected to be part of a "propaganda cell daesh" which glorify terrorism.
The two arrested men of 30 and 40 years, publicly praising terrorism "with the goal to turn to commit terrorist attacks," the Catalan police said in a statement.
They also placed since 2012 content on the internet related to terrorist activities, the source said. They noticed that the two defendants acted in a coordinated way for spreading terrorist propaganda in favor of Daesh.
The Spanish Interior Minister, Juan Ignacio Zoido, in statements to the press praised the Catalan police for these two arrests, as well as the national police and the civil guard for their efforts in the fight against terrorism. He noted that more than 500 alleged terrorists have been arrested since Spain in 2015 to terrorism threat level 4 passed, reports H24.
